You're reminding me of one of my several bike accidents! With my wrist fracture, I required two surgeries--one to put in a plate and a second one to remove it. The scar looks like I tried to slit my wrist. Even at my worst moments, life hasn't been that bad. ;-P You also remind me of the block and the limp arm. The block didn't last as long for me and I remember the stupidity of waiting too long to take the analgesics. Live and learn, right.

Live and learn is definitely right. I did some internet research that warned me to take pain meds at bedtime once the block started fading so as not to get behind the pain. It was good advice. Hope you are staying accident free1

Oh my goodness!!! I slipped on the ice during the last storm and had a bone bruise, but nothing compared to what happened to you! I was out of commission with just a bruise!! I hope you are feeling better and healing! I enjoy reading your writings! Funny story, my 80 year old mom needed cataract surgery. She still drove from the Hammonton area to Mount Laurel everyday to work at my cousins shop. It was her social life. I took her for eye#1. On the way home she says, "oh when did they put a stop sign there?" 80 years old! Driving to work everyday! Could hardly see over the steering wheel! How many times had she blown through the stop sign? All I could do was be thankful she finally got the surgery on one eye so she could see better!

What a funny/scary story about your mom! I was surprised to find out after my first eye that I was seeing the world through a yellow filter. It's wonderful to see the blue-purple end of the spectrum again. Those are my favorite colors! And my wrist is doing great.
